Meet our Team of Specialist Engineers
We have a dedicated team of designers, draftsman, engineers and consultants.
We work with many of the South Africa’s best architects and visionary client teams, providing the specialized skills needed, and helping achieve architect and client ambitions. This means working closely with the whole project team in the search for effective, appropriate solutions.
We use different and selective rendering programmes to assist with three-dimensional computer models improve collaboration and decision-making, enable easy trialing of design variations and multi-user working, eliminate repetitive amendments, enable clash detection between disciplines, allow real-time scheduling, and provide accurate cost and quantity estimates.

Our engineers are highly experienced in the design of Structural & Civil systems for residential projects such as high specification villas and multidisciplinary housing accommodation, and for large commercial developments such as shopping centres and hotels — where we combine sensitivity to the requirements of individual users with those of building management.
Our Team
Allen Fiford
Director & Consulting Structural Engineer
Allen has been in the structural engineering industry for over 15 years. He started as a Junior draftsman and worked towards design management in a very short period of time. His focus and attention to detail is outstanding and provides a very direct driven approach. Whilst venturing into the world of structural engineering he soon found an interest as a trainee engineer and has progressed ever since towards higher qualifications in becoming a competent professional in his field of practice. He is now in a Structural Consulting Engineering Position as head of design and director of AF Consulting Engineers and Associates. Allen has an energetic and focused approach to tasks and treats teamwork as his only asset in managing and leading projects through difficult conditions. One of his goals is to always try to do things right the first time and enjoys doing them with passion and commitment, value in this process is very important. He provides project management, engineering and consultancy services to a higher level.
Experiences to date include engineering roles on a variety of large-scale multidisciplinary construction projects in both the public and private sectors. He has successfully completed over 300 projects that have sustainably put him in a leading market in what he does as a Competent Professional.

- Currently busy with Bachelor of Science to obtain Engineering Degree – Engineering Institute of Technology (EIT)
